Slavery Today:
In Sudan, Mauritania, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Peru, Brazil, France,
Ghana, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, India, Nepal and
Thailand, the USA. What do these countries, and maybe others as
well, have in common? Slavery in some form or another. There are more
slaves in the world today than ever before in history. It's time we, as
human beings, help stop this evil. Check out
anti-slavery.org,
or Persecution Project
Foundation for more information on what YOU can do to help.

Acid Torture:
It's way too common in India and Bangladesh that rejected men throw acid on

sometimes death. 50 year old men rejected by 12 yearold girls destroy the

Children's homepage at

Female Genital Mutilation:
Female genital mutilation is very common in poor countries, especially in
africa. This too has to be stopped. To find more info, and to see how you
can help, visit:
www.equalitynow.org.
Honor Killings:
Women in some cultures get killed by their fathers, husbands, brothers.
The reason? "Family honor". The victim doesn't even have to do anything to
cause it, in many cases it's caused by someone saying that they did
something they didn't do, such as adultery. There is no justifiable reason
for these killings. The killers walk away as heroes for having restored
the family's honor. To help stop gender apartheid and honor killings,
visit: www.rawa.org.
